Designed for integration with an existing FileMaker Pro business system, Absolute Accounting focuses on core accounting functions using a simple and intuitive interface. This product offers audit trails, posting processes, permanent ledgers, and period closing. Advanced features include multiple-profit-center reporting, historic accounts payable and accounts receivable agings, multi-currency, and e-banking (including automatic checkbook reconciliations). Multiple levels of redundancy in its file structure — ensuring data integrity even in high-stress situations -- make this product a good fit for high-volume environments. Absolute Accounting relies on FileMaker Pro for Invoicing or Inventory modules so it can concentrate on providing the core accounting functions in a simple and straightforward way. This product supports FileMaker Pro 8 and newer, but FileMaker Pro 9 is recommended as many layouts "slide."
Absolute Advantage has been helping clients implement new accounting systems for more than 20 years. One of their advantages is their breadth of experience and support for companies making an accounting transition. Absolute Accounting is in continued development, adding user convenience features with the goal of making accounting integration easier for developers.
This is a fairly high-end product, designed for multi-user/high-volume accounting departments. Invoicing, Inventory, and Purchasing - then there is no compelling argument for Absolute Accounting.
