IBM Lotus Expeditor 6.1.2 lets mobile application developers create applications and services that combine information from different sources. Key to the technology is the Eclipse-embedded Rich Client Platform (eRCP) application model, which lets developers create applications for desktop and mobile devices.

Social Networking involves people connecting with others online via messaging, blogging, and discussion groups using a business service such as IBM Lotus Connections or consumer communities such as Facebook, MySpace, and LinkedIn. A mashup is a Web view that includes information integrated from different sources. Lotus Expeditor software lets you further integrate social networking and mashups into routine tasks.

Sprint Titan -- a configuration of IBM Lotus Expeditor

Sprint Titan is a new software platform based on IBM Lotus Expeditor software. It lets developers move business applications using the Eclipse development framework from the desktop to most Sprint Windows Mobile 6 smartphones. Developers are using Titan to create CRM, sales force automation, and other business applications so users can take tools traditionally limited to a desktop out of the office, and use the applications when and where they need them. A "live" demonstration of Expeditor's benefits

With Lotus Expeditor, users can receive updates to their mobile phone applications without interrupting their current activity on the phone. To demonstrate this capability, you can view a solution for insurance adjusters to do instant messaging and image sharing with repair shops while being engaged with their customer. The insurance adjuster can use Web mapping, along with policy holder information, to plan their day. Corresponding insurance adjusting applications, written to the same application model, support the insurance adjuster when in the office working on a desktop.
