After you've set up LDAP on the server (see Domino Administrator Help for more on this) and it's running, you should check connectivity, authentication (unless you've allowed for Anonymous queries, something IBM Lotus doesn't recommend), and addressing. Instead of banging your head against the desk because something won't work, try to save a little time by testing these items before using LDAP.
