Microsoft Welcomes SharePoint Advisor
Microsoft's Jeff Teper welcomes you to the preview issue of SharePoint Advisor Magazine.
Welcome to the first issue of SharePoint Advisor Magazine!
I am excited about this terrific new resource for people building, deploying and using solutions built on Microsoft's SharePoint products and technologies.
We have been amazed by the rapid adoption of these technologies since the release of Windows SharePoint Services and Office SharePoint Portal Server in October 2003. In a short time, SharePoint has attracted one of the most passionate and innovative technology communities.
Thousands of organizations have deployed SharePoint technologies to improve their collaboration, streamline processes and information access, reach out to customers and partners and reduce the cost of custom web development. From the largest multi-national corporations using SharePoint Portal Server to small companies using Windows SharePoint Services as part of Small Business Server or an ISP-hosted service. From law offices to oil refineries. From innovative startups to global systems integrators. It has been fun to watch and learn what all of you are doing with SharePoint!
So now is a great time for SharePoint Advisor -- to help foster ideas and promote best practices across the SharePoint community. I hope each issue stimulates new ideas on managing your intranet and extranet, building Web and Office System solutions, and integrating business applications via XML Web Services that you can apply immediately.
We look forward to hearing about your projects, feedback and suggestions. We have a long and exciting future together with SharePoint!
