Say Goodbye to the Keep/Replace Dialog in FileMaker Pro 7, Part 2

FileMaker Pro 7 eliminates many limitations of the old architecture. Part 2 in this two-part series covers changes to the Perform Find script step.

By Jonathan Stark, The Moyer Group vice president

About this Article:

Earlier versions of FileMaker Pro included a number of script steps that took their specifications from the most recent related user action. These steps were Sort Records, Perform Find, Print Setup, Import Records, and Export Records. You always knew when you had one of these buggers in a script because when you clicked on OK to leave the Edit Script dialog, your action was interrupted by the pesky Keep/Replace dialog. FileMaker Pro 7 eliminates many limitations of the old architecture. Part 1 in this two-part series covers differences in the Sort Records and Print Setup script steps. Part 2 covers the Perform Find script step.
