Inhibit the Mouse Wheel

Keep the mouse wheel from scrolling through records on an Access form.

By Mike Groh, Technical Editor

About this Article:

A fairly common problem in Access applications is controlling the mouse wheel. At least once, at every Advisor DevCon , someone asks me how to inhibit the mouse wheel to keep it from scrolling through records on an Access form. It can be done, but it isn't easy. Here's the problem: Access senses the mouse wheel as if the user was sliding the thumb on the scroll bar attached to a table or list box.
