About this Article:

Very often, especially with beginner- to intermediate-level Access users, reports are either distributed in Rich Text Format (*.RTF) as Microsoft Word (*.DOC) or exported to Microsoft Excel (*.XLS) using one or more of the various wizards provided in the user interface. Although this gets the job done, it might not be the best approach. For example, assume a multiple-page quarterly financial report has been converted to a 500KB file in one of the aforementioned formats.

Jonathan Hettena is a Senior Associate with Lehman Brothers in New York. He has a Bachelor of Science in business from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh. He has spent the past seven years developing Microsoft Office solutions, predominantly with Access, for the financial district. Jonathan currently works with XML, Access, and Visual Basic. hettena@optonline.net. Brian J. Kent is currently developing a technology education firm while working part-time for Lehman Brothers in New York. He holds an engineering degree from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art. kent@optos.org.

When I found the skull in the woods, the first thing I did was call the police. But then I got curious about it. I picked it up and and started wondering about who this person was and why he had deer horns.
