Lotus has new tools to ease the migration path from Microsoft Exchange to Lotus Domino. This targets customers who need Domino's reliability but do not want to spend the time, money and resources on a complex migration system.
The Super.move Acceleration Packs for Microsoft Exchange build on migration capabilities already found in Domino Release 5 (R5) and provide solutions to migrate from Exchange to Notes and Domino R5 without interrupting business functions. Super.move contains what a company needs: products, service and support, to cost-effectively implement Notes and Domino without overhauling the company's entire system.
"One of the major benefits here is that migrating to Notes and Domino allows companies to leverage their current Microsoft infrastructure as opposed to undergoing a major transition with the Microsoft 2000 family of products," says Larry Zaykowski, market segment manager for messaging and collaboration for Lotus Development Corp.
The Super.move Acceleration Packs for Microsoft Exchange includes Acceleration Pack I for companies with fewer than 1,000 users. Acceleration Pack II for companies with 500 to 3,000 users; and Acceleration Pack III for companies with more than 1000 users. With each package, Lotus provides administration and end-user training, reference cards, training and support literature, technical support and other benefits.
Super.move Acceleration Packs for Microsoft Exchange are available in North America in July 2000. Prices to be announced.
