Today I found a short cut. Just add "&count=1" to an openview URL command ( http://www.msdomino.net/orders.nsf/customer%20orders?openview&count=-1 ) and the web page displays all the documents in the view (well up to 1000 if you use the default server settings - mine is set to 10,000). Now go to Excel 2007 and under the "Data" ribbon tab, pick "Get External Data". In the pull down, select "From Web". In the New Web Query dialog put your ReadViewEntries URL command with the &count=-1 parameter. Your web view now shows in the dialog's browser window and you are prompted to pick a section with the arrows. Select the arrow by the view data table (see below) and click Import. Excel with prompt you to ask where to put the data. Just take the default. You end up with all the View data in Excel. Better yet, if you hit Data >> Refresh, the data is again pulled from Domino and over written in the spreadsheet.

Just finished the draft of my third article for www.LotusUserGroup.org

My first article on www.LotusUserGroup.org is published however the plan is to have four articles. The second one is in the can read to publish and now the third one is in the hands of the editors. Its always time to celebrate when completing an ...
<dc:subject>None</dc:subject>

My first article on www.LotusUserGroup.org is published however the plan is to have four articles. The second one is in the can read to publish and now the third one is in the hands of the editors. Its always time to celebrate when completing an article. We all think of ourselves as good writers when we read our stuff. However, we forget how hard it is to create it. Now if I can just get the last one done while learing everyting there is to know about all the Microsoft 2010 products from a developers point of view, I'll have time to create my presentations for the View conference in May.

2010 Microsoft products training tailored for Notes developers!

I'm working with a Microsoft training company that is creating new training for the wave of 2010 products coming out from Microsoft. I've convinced them to create Notes developers specific training also. Why start from scratch with training when you can build on what you all ready know. They said that in previous courses, the Notes developers understood the concept much faster than others and the parallels are significant. So in a few months, we should see these courses on SharePoint, SharePoint Designer, InfoPath and Integrationi with Notes.
