About this Article:

This article explores the robustness, complexity, and interoperability of Spring Web Flow (SWF) -- a relatively new technology -- in a WebSphere Application Server (WAS) 5 environment. SWF provides the ability to specify logical page flows in a Web application as self-contained modules. You can then re-use these workflows in different applications. SWF is a generic flow engine that can integrate with existing frameworks such as Struts.
