About this Article:

The Notes e-mail archive feature is helpful, but sometimes it can be limiting. Use the techniques in this article to preserve the e-mail folder structure and specify directories outside of the Notes data directory.

John DillonJohn P. M. Dillon has been developing Notes applications, predominately workflow apps, for a research firm in Ventura County, California since 1996. He recently began teaching Rapid Application Development with Lotus Notes at California Lutheran University. Outside of work, his passion is the sport of performance rally, a Notes-like motorsport, where racing happens in remote areas, with close collaboration between driver and navigator, at very high speeds. John's team has won several races and championships and is currently seeking partners and sponsors for the upcoming season. On occasion he can be heard torturing the keys of his piano while composing music.
